I am recent immigrant to Canada from South Africa, and am passionate about sustainability and food!
I hold a postgraduate BSc Honours degree in Ecology and Environmental Management from the University of the Witwatersrand, as well as postgraduate certificates in environmental and sustainability law. I previously sat on the executive committee of a Johannesburg Stock Exchange listed mining company as the head of sustainability and worked for a number of years as an environmental manager in mining.
I learned to cook from books, cooking shows and lots of practice of feeding my friends and family. My husband and I are keen entertainers and love to try new flavours and techniques. Whenever possible we like to venture out and try new foods. I believe its important to know where your food comes from and that great flavour comes from great farms.
